Schmitt produziert vier keramische Nachbildungen von Not-Halt Tastern, die zur Sicherung von industriellen Fertigungssystemen genutzt werden. Die Zahl Vier steht symbolisch für die Globalisierung in alle 4 Himmelsrichtungen und zugleich für die vierte industrielle Revolution (Industry4.0). Die menschliche Hand bleibt beim Versagen vollautomatisierter Industriesysteme in Notfällen relevant um Not-Aus Taster manuell zu betätigen. Der Einschlag von Schmitts simulierter Not-Handbewegung wurde im rohen Tonmodell materialisiert.

Schmitt produces four ceramic replicas of emergency stop buttons that are used to secure industrial production systems. The number four symbolises globalisation in all four directions and at the same time the fourth industrial revolution (Industry4.0). The human hand remains relevant in emergencies when fully automated industrial systems fail, in order to operate emergency stop buttons manually. The impact of Schmitt's simulated emergency hand movement was materialised in the raw clay model.
